Who We Are
We are a non-profit organization originally incorporated for the care of abused, abandoned, or unwanted rabbits (we prefer to call them "Bunnies"). Our incorporation states that we are "a small animal rescue, specializing in rabbits". Of necessity, we have become a haven for all small animals short of livestock -- Ferrets, Rats, Dogs, etc., etc., etc. -- even a couple of Vietnamese Pot-belly Pigs!
Bunnies
We are a "no kill" shelter, as they have come to be known. While we see many bunnies that can be readily adopted, we have many bunnies with special needs that are often considered unadoptable. These and any other "unwanted" bunnies will have a home here for as long as it takes to find them that loving home they all want or for the rest of their natural lives. We actively pursue adoption for all that come to us. We have never considered ourselves a sanctuary.
Feline E-List Program
Our Feline E-List program differs from our Bunny effort in that we are neither a cat rescue nor a cat shelter. Our thrust with this program is to find homes for kittens and cats from "our little corner of the world" that would be euthanized by Animal Control - simply for lack of cage space.
What We Are
Our generalized mission is to help, in whatever way we can, to ultimately find homes for all pet animals. Physically, we must focus on these sweet creatures that come to our care. However, we also "speak for those that cannot" with our various education efforts.
